Jericho was such a beautiful site to visit! It kind of had a South Carolina feel because of ALL the palm trees. I drank two bottles of water while we visited this site- VERY hot and its "winter" here right now. I am so glad I chose to come winter semester, can't imagine what it would feel like any other time.

We had a devotional at the top of the Tel (hill) and it was a beautiful spot to look all around us at where the walls would have been in Joshua's time. We talked about Rahab and how important she was to sacrifice her life and to hide 2 Israelite spies. This is a great example of how the Lord may use unclean people to fulfill his work. We read a lot of scriptures and talked about the story in depth.
