Olive Press Symbolism

This is an olive Press, here at the Jerusalem Center.

Isaiah 1:18

"Though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool."

When olives are pressed, the oil comes out red. Christ atoned for us in the Garden of Gethsemone. I am so grateful to know this, and to work everyday at repenting for the mistakes that I make.

Since the Olive picking season is in the Fall, the previous semester pressed enough olives to make a vile of pure olive oil for each of us. So excited to have this forever!
