Yesterday was FIELD TRIP DAY.
We had a lot of fun and had a guide explain things from the bible to us. Favorite part of the day: seeing an ACTUAL scribe (one who has this gift passed down for lots of generations. They are better than the scribes who are taught in schools) read the Torrah to us in Hebrew, Yiddish, and another language.
The Torrah takes 1-3 years to write because they have to completely cleanse themselves before they write the word "God". So each Torrah is so expensive and synagogues must come up with the money by donations.
A mezuzzah script takes 1-3 hours and is around 150 sheks. The art work is incredible!
It was fun to see and this guy is seriously so talented!!!

We also got to heard sheep and goats! Lesson learned: Goats like for us to follow them. Sheep like for us to lead. That is why Jesus is the shephard for sheep and not goats :)

We then made our lunch of pita bread, lentil soup, herbal tea, and friqua. I was the leader of bread making so I wasn't able to take pictures due to doughy hands(sorry!). It was really cool because we had the same lentil (red) that Jacob would have made and exchanged with Esau for the birthright. We read in the scriptures as we ate our soup around the campfire, and it was just a wonderful day :)

Here are some pictures of the scenery:
