What does it mean to simply KNOW the Lord? Not just the facts, but to truly know His commandments and abide to them to the best of your ability.
Being here in Israel has really opened my eyes to how little we're asked of by the Lord compared to how much He gives us on a daily basis.
Was reading this scripture this past week and just absolutely loved it.
This is life eternal that they may know thee, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.
-John 17:3
All of us need to fully understand the covenants we are making and the covenants we have previously made. They are just so important. We must realize how often God is holding out His hand so we can be drawn into His presence and be circled in His arms of Love. This is about the hope God has for each one of us. All of us are in the house of Israel and have many duties and responsiblilties.
God doesn’t make covenants just because… He does so we can fill our measure of creation.
I read in our student manual that a sure sign of keeping our commandments is continually looking after the poor and needy.
I immediately thought of my wonderful, selfless parents who are always looking to find ways to help others. :) They're just the absolute best.

As Joseph Smith said, "Knowledge of the covenants can only come through experiences.."
Simply knowing about them is not enough. We must have personal, spiritual experiences to anchor us.” -Elder Ballard
Keep having spiritual experiences! Have a great week!
xoxo, ALYSON :)
